"Shackleton's story is a great story of endurance and it's a great story of camaraderie," Vasarhelyi told On The Red Carpet, emphasizing the themes of survival and teamwork in Shackleton's expedition.
"From that moment on, he's laser focused on getting those men home," said an Endurance22 member of Shackleton, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his crew's survival after their ship became trapped.
"It was really this very special leadership quality he had of, like, loyalty to his men," explained Vasarhelyi, reflecting on how Shackleton's leadership was crucial for keeping morale high and facilitating survival.
"In the 2022 expedition, these are the best scientists in the world doing what they're most passionate about and there is an inherent optimism to that," Vasarhelyi described how the modern expedition team was motivated despite challenges.
