Moldovan region Transnistria shuts down its industries after loss of Russian gas
Briefly

The shutdown of Russian gas supplies to Moldova's breakaway Transnistria has led to the closure of all industrial companies except for food producers, highlighting the region's dependency.
Sergei Obolonik, first deputy prime minister of Transnistria, indicated that if the gas supply issue isn't quickly addressed, it could lead to irreversible changes and loss of enterprise functionality.
The local energy company advised families to keep warm by gathering in a single room and using electric heaters as heating supply was suspended due to the gas cut-off.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, the pro-Russian leader of Transnistria, claimed that the region has gas reserves for only 10 days, yet emphasized the power plant's transition to coal for electricity.
