Justice Alexander Owens addressed the jury, stating that the nature of the accusations against McGregor involves serious allegations of sexual assault, complicating the defense's counter-claims of extortion.
McGregor's legal team described the allegations against him as an attempted extortion by Ni Laimhin, who has no automatic right to anonymity in the ongoing court case.
