Masked bandits stab NYC cyclist, good Samaritan in failed moped theft: sources

In a botched robbery attempt in Sunset Park, a cyclist was stabbed while resisting the theft of his moped, revealing escalating violence in Brooklyn.

The threats to public safety are compounded as another man was stabbed earlier that morning in Greenwich Village while trying to defend himself.

Both the initial victim, a possible delivery worker, and the intervening good Samaritan were rushed to the hospital but are reported to be in stable condition.
