The family of Zara Aleena have described living in a horror film after her brutal murder, but said her death had made campaigners out of all of us.Law graduate Ms Aleena,  35, was a active citizen who lived by the principles of fairness and justice.She was sexually assaulted and killed by a recently released offender who Ms Aleena's family said displayed extreme indifference to her life, the law and society.

Saturday morning, Chicago police said charges were still pending in a fatal stabbing of a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene when seeing a woman brandishing a weapon at a couple Wednesday in the Edgewater neighborhood.The victim, who has not yet been identified, was stabbed in the chest shortly before 11:45 p.m. in the 5200 block of North Sheridan Road, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead.

SAN JOSE  Good Samaritan has filed a detailed proposal to revamp and expand its hospital campus in San Jose, dramatic changes that are poised to triple the size of the current complex.Among the major additions: A new and taller hospital wing that would sprout next to the existing hospital at 2425 Samaritan Drive in San Jose, a large medical office building and two new multi-level parking structures, the proposal on file at City Hall shows.
