1 week agoNJ pitbulls kill good Samaritan who tried to break up their fight
A good Samaritan was mauled to death while trying to break up a fight between three pit bulls in Newark, New Jersey.
This is just a tragic situation where our victim here is just a good Samaritan who was trying to do the right thing. He's intervened, tried to protect this 14-year-old schoolboy, hasn't been aggressive at all, tried to remove him from the scene, and as a result of his interaction, he's now lost his life.
My brother-in-law showed his generous spirit by stopping... She said he was still in critical condition at a hospital. What makes this even more difficult is that my brother-in-law does not have insurance and is not eligible for any medical programs. He is the sole provider for his wife and their 1-year-old baby girl, both of whom depend on him.
I immediately burst into tears, wondering how I was possibly going to pick everything up when I could scarcely bend over, while the people around me averted their eyes and kept walking. Just as I was feeling totally hopeless, a boy of about 10 walked over and said: Excuse me, would you like some help with your trolley? I nodded at him gratefully through my tears and together we managed to right the fallen trolley.
HERSHEY, Pa. -- You might call him the Hersheypark hero, but John Sampson, a father from Pennsylvania, says he was simply in the right place at the right time. "I just think I'm a guy who, once again, right place, right time, saw a child in need and wanted to help," said Sampson. Over the weekend, Sampson was seen in a now-viral video jumping into action when a young boy was spotted wandering on the park's monorail.
