mantra brings his signature lifelike butterflies to miami's largest rooftop mural
Briefly

The monumental artwork transforms the rooftop into a celebration of biodiversity, featuring vibrant butterflies that mimic lifelike presence, showcasing the urgent need for conservation.
It's always a pleasure to paint in Miami, a city that thrives on its vibrant mix of people and cultures—much like the butterflies in my mural, which represent a diverse selection of specimens.
Despite strong winds and morning ocean dampness, the mural, rendered freehand, took 400 hours and 200 gallons of paint, highlighting Mantra's artistic precision and ambition.
The mural features several species including the endangered Miami Blue butterfly native to South Florida, serving as a poignant reminder of the delicate balance of our ecosystems.
