Robert Cole Parmalee, the man arrested for stalking UConn basketball star Paige Bueckers, pleaded guilty to a second-degree charge and received a one-year suspended sentence.
According to his attorney, Parmalee's plea agreement includes three years of probation, adherence to a protective order until 2064, and mandated mental health treatment.
Parmalee apologized to the state of Connecticut, its residents, and to UConn, while also being barred from Connecticut and WNBA facilities during his probation.
Bueckers’ attorney expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the case, indicating that Bueckers wishes to be left alone as Parmalee seeks treatment.
