Man gets life without parole for killing Bay Area pawnbroker and his dog

Kashius Brazeal-Nelson was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for the 2016 fatal shooting of pawnbroker Timothy Pult and his dog, Copper.
The court ruled on a two-week trial that Brazeal-Nelson was guilty of murder, second-degree robbery, and cruelty to animals, with charges of attempted murder and gun possession being dismissed.
Co-defendant Amonie Azoun Andre Summerise pleaded no contest to charges of murder and second-degree robbery, receiving a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Sentencing took place in Vallejo's Justice Building, with Solano County Superior Court Judge Daniel Healy overseeing the case and determining the final sentences.
