A single-vehicle collision occurred at the Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, Cork City at around 1:50pm on Wednesday 3 December 2025. The driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to Cork University Hospital and was later pronounced deceased. A forensic examination of the scene was conducted and the road has since reopened. Gardaí are appealing to road users who were in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm for any camera footage, including dash-cam, and for any witnesses to come forward. Footage and information can be provided to Togher Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
