London's Alleys: Flood Walk, SW3
Briefly

Despite their position close to the river, neither Flood Walk nor Flood Street are related to water flooding; they're named after local landowner Luke Thomas Flood.
Flood Walk was originally lined with terraced housing, which has since been replaced throughout the 1910s by blocks of flats owned by the Peabody Trust.
The large grey low-rise office building on Flood Walk was formerly the Wolseley Motor Car Works and later the headquarters of the main distributor for London.
The former Violet Melchett Infant Welfare Centre, designed in a neo-Georgian style, was built for the Chelsea Health Society and Chelsea Day Nursery in the early 1930s.
