'Landman' Episode 4 Recap
Briefly

Billy Bob Thornton is a natural fit for Landman's leading role and Sheridan even makes a compelling case for how important the Texas oil industry is to the global economy.
If I had my way, I'd rather see Sheridan focus entirely on the actual Landman and his son, Cooper; he was easily the most well-written character among them.
Sadly, it seems as if viewers will need to fight through more insane ogling to arrive at anything real; the portrayal of women feels exploitative and shallow.
Cooper's trip to visit the widowed families of some workers who died in an oil explosion was surprisingly heartfelt and highlighted his depth as a character.
