A warning has been issued to over 2 million federal workers regarding a buyout proposal from the Trump administration, suggesting it's more of a scam than a real benefit. Randy Erwin, head of the National Federation of Federal Employees, cautioned against accepting the deal, noting the absence of congressional authorization for future pay and benefits past mid-March. He further highlighted the risk of critical service disruptions affecting key federal programs, especially those impacting Veterans Affairs and environmental management, should the workforce cuts proceed.
