Delta Air Lines has implemented new restrictions on access to its airport lounges as part of its loyalty program changes aimed at reducing overcrowding. Effective February 1, holders of Delta's SkyMiles Reserve American Express cards can enter lounges 15 times a year, while American Express Platinum cardholders are limited to 10 visits. Spending $75,000 on eligible purchases can earn unlimited access, and additional visits can be bought at $50 each. Layovers allow multiple entries without using extra visits, and multiple eligible cards can be combined for more visits.
Starting February 1, Delta Air Lines will limit lounge access based on credit card type: 15 entries for Reserve cardholders and 10 for Platinum cardholders.
Travelers can still earn unlimited lounge access by spending $75,000 annually on eligible purchases, or purchase additional entries for $50 each.
