Threads users can now reshare visual content more easily with a new feature that allows them to add their commentary to media. This initiative was introduced by Instagram's Adam Mosseri, highlighting its simplicity for users wanting to express their views on trending images.
Adam Mosseri stated that the new 'Use Media' option offers a quick and easy way to add creative takes to popular images. Users can access this option directly from the media they wish to share, making the resharing process more streamlined.
However, not all creators are welcoming this update. Some expressed concerns, stating they don’t want their media reshared since it allows others to gain visibility for content they didn't create, raising issues about attribution and effort.
Currently, the feature is being rolled out to users and is not being tested. Instagram is soliciting user feedback about the new option while also addressing creator concerns regarding how their content will be used.
