Instagram DMs add live location sharing and nicknames
Briefly

Instagram is introducing a feature allowing users to privately share their live location via DMs for up to an hour, enhancing real-time connections during events.
This new location-sharing feature is similar to Snapchat's SnapMap, but focuses on privacy, offering users a way to find friends without broadcasting their whereabouts.
Users can now assign nicknames to friends in DMs, further personalizing interactions. If a nickname isn't appreciated, friends can be locked out of naming them.
In addition to location sharing and nicknames, Instagram has introduced 17 new sticker packs, enhancing chat engagement with over 300 new stickers and customization options.
