I'm coming to a place that looks like hell': the long road home for Gaza's displaced
Briefly

Abdulaziz's return to Sheikh Radwan in northern Gaza reflects both despair and hope. After 15 months of conflict, the trauma of loss overshadows remnants of his life; his car rental business is destroyed, and he mourns numerous lost loved ones. Despite returning to a ravaged place, he and others embrace the hope that the war may be over. This hope for the end of suffering makes the daunting walk back bearable, aspiring to reconnect with spaces of their past amidst destruction.
My experience in this war is beyond words. It's been nothing short of devastating in every way, the 24-year-old said. I lost everything I worked for.
I know I'm coming back to a place that looks like hell with destruction all around... but wanted to kiss the ground where it had been.
