I didn't renew my record contract. I don't have an active record contract or publishing contract. I have sold all of my masters. I'm free of any responsibility.
Doing that, as much as I loved it, made me realize that it had become monotonous for me. I think it was a bit creatively limiting.
For me, it's the challenge of the puzzle of figuring out how to connect brand with audience and what the identity of that brand is.
