The Hawaiian palm, or Alula, is a prehistoric-looking houseplant known for its thick stem and glossy green leaves, thriving in bright, indirect light.
Once abundant on Kauai cliffs, the Hawaiian palm has been extinct in the wild since 2019-20, relying on human care for its conservation.
