Eschewing the pursuit of wealth, he founded initiatives like Blue Planet Alliance to promote a fossil fuel-free future. During a recent event highlighting Tetris's legacy, he emphasized the urgency of fighting the climate crisis, likening the planet's situation to a damaged lifeboat, and called out irresponsible actions that threaten humanity and nature.
"In that ambulance on the way to the hospital, I said, 'No, I'm not going,'" Rogers said. "'I still have stuff to do.'"
"We are all living in what I would consider a lifeboat, and the lifeboat has holes in it... That is not a job. That's a crime."
