'He can't say 'hello, Paul' any more, but his face still lights up' - Paul McGinley on caring for a father with dementia
Briefly

"We're four or five years into this now and, you know, every year it's decreasing. You don't really see it in front of your eyes, but when you look back to what he was doing this time last year, that's when it hits home how much he's even gone down from last year."
"He's always been complicit and smiley, and you walk in the house now and even though he can't say 'hello Paul' any more, he recognises my face and he lights up with that big, huge smile that he's got."
"I know with a lot of people who have dementia, that is a big part of it and he's never had any of that. There is no angst with my father, just a good man."
"We've had our challenges. I'm spending more time in America with my TV work, my sisters have got kids and they're dealing with their own family, but he's a good man regardless."
