"Liverpool is my club, Liverpool is my team. I want to fight for my place, fight for my position in the team," Elliott said, quoted by The Athletic. He emphasized his commitment to the team and expressed a strong desire to prove himself, stating, "I am going to do what it takes and help the team out when it's possible. It's down to me to put in the effort, the hard work, the desire, to achieve that."
Elliott revealed, "It's just friendly conversations: Is there anything I need to show you to get more game time? Is there anything I need to work on specifically?" He detailed discussions with Coach Arne Slot, focusing on what he needs to change to earn more minutes and displaying a proactive attitude towards his role within the team.
"I was out with an injury at the start of the season. I don't expect to come in and play straight away. I want to help my team out as much as I can. Help the club out," Elliott stated, demonstrating his understanding of the competition for places and willingness to work hard for a chance to contribute.
Elliott admitted that he feels he can improve "physically" and that doing so may help him to be more effective in his performances, showing his insight into self-development as crucial for gaining more playing time.
