Hannah Kobayashi has safely returned to the U.S. after her mysterious disappearance in Los Angeles, which prompted a weeks-long search by her family and community.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Kobayashi entered Mexico alone, with no indication of duress or crime involved in her disappearance.
Following her return, her family has begun offering refunds through GoFundMe to the hundreds who contributed nearly $50,000 for the search effort.
Tragically, Ryan Kobayashi, Hannah's father, died in a parking garage near LAX while searching for her, with the medical examiner ruling his death a suicide.
