Google Search Testing Underline Title, Link & Domain On Hover
Briefly

Google is testing underlining not just the title link, but also the display URL and the domain in search result snippets when hovered over. This change marks a return to a more old-fashioned approach where all links were underlined, enhancing visibility and interaction.
The new hover effect allows users to see the entire link structure, including the domain and URL more clearly, a feature reminiscent of earlier web practices which could encourage more user engagement with search results.
Sachin Patel first highlighted this change on X, indicating it might be part of Google’s ongoing refinement of display elements in their search results to improve user experience.
In contrast to the traditional design where only the title link was underlined, this new feature aligns more closely with Google's historical practices, suggesting a potential shift in user interface design.
