Jason Riddle, a participant in the January 6 Capitol riot, has expressed remorse for his actions and rejected a pardon from former President Trump. Describing himself as a former supporter of Trump, Riddle admitted to entering the Capitol during the riot, where he engaged in destructive behavior influenced by alcohol. Reflecting on his experience as a recovering alcoholic, he stated that he didn't fully understand the celebrations happening inside the Capitol and later acknowledged the violence that occurred, particularly after learning about the shooting of Ashli Babbitt by police.
"I don't need to obsess over a narcissistic bully to feel better about myself," Riddle said, adding, "Trump can shove his pardon up his a**."
"I didn't really understand what we were celebrating, but I definitely took part in that," Riddle noted about the atmosphere inside the Capitol.
