Former taoiseach Leo Varadkar to lecture at Harvard University on public leadership
Briefly

Leo Varadkar, former taoiseach of Ireland and leader of Fine Gael, has been appointed as the spring 2025 Hauser Leader at Harvard Kennedy School. This role allows him to engage directly with students and faculty, sharing insights from his extensive political career, including his leadership during Covid-19 and Brexit. Varadkar expressed excitement about the opportunity to mentor future public leaders and to step back from the electoral political arena after two decades of service. He will also deliver the Gustav Pollak Lecture during this time.
More so than ever, our world turns on knowledge, information and ideas. This is a really exciting opportunity and after more than 20 years in elected politics, it's going to be great to do something really different for a while.
It's going to be a great opportunity for me to learn as well as to mentor the next generation of public leaders.
