William Fulford detailed his decision to stay in his 'hurricane-proof' home during Hurricane Milton. Despite facing 100 mph gusts and power outages, his backup solar system ensured minimal impact.
Fulford noted, 'Parts of my area are devastating, with roofs torn off trailer-park homes and down power lines. Thankfully, our home sustained minimal damage and currently runs on solar power.'
Reflecting on the ordeal, Fulford remarked, 'The storm hit differently this time. We were more fortunate than many, facing only strong winds and rain without any actual problems to deal with.'
He shared, 'It'll be a while before the power is back...it's kind of miserable without air conditioning, but at least the temperature has been manageable.'
