Film aims to expose 'global silence' over rape of Jewish women held in Gaza
Briefly

The documentary "Screams Before Silence," screened at Hampstead's JW3 community centre, showcases the harrowing realities faced by Israeli hostage survivors in Gaza. Following the screening, Israeli scholar Ruth Halperin-Kaddari discussed the prevalence of antisemitism and bias against Israel, arguing that feminists have remained silent on the issue of sexual violence experienced by female victims during the October 7 Hamas attack. The event, part of Sexual Violence Awareness week, honored the resilience of these young women who, despite experiencing horrific violence, exemplified remarkable strength in their survival.
This combines with the usual double standard against Israel, bias against the Jewish State and the inability to step away from a perception that Israel is the villain.
We know that sexual violence was perpetrated against some of them but they managed to hold themselves up as they left Gaza which is an incredible sign of resilience.
