Exclusive | 'Yellowstone' star Denim Richards reveals why shocking death was postponed for 2 weeks: 'Emotional wreck'
Briefly

"There's always two reactions. You have your personal reaction, which is the 'who, what, when, where, why.' In the beginning [his death] was a tough one to swallow. I've been very connected to this character for a while. Once you get past that ocean of emotion, at the end of the day, so much of what we do as artists is really about the bigger picture."
"Colby was killed by a horse while saving Carter. It was very much a cowboy's death. It was kind of what a real-life situation would be. These things are not uncommon, that's what makes it so tragic. So, this is a little bit more of a hero's death."
"The funny part about the last day of filming [is that] I was an emotional wreck driving into set ... I got there dealing with all this emotion, and then there's this massive thunderstorm. Because of the lightning, filming got delayed first an hour, then five hours. Finally, they ended up postponing the shoot by two weeks."
