EVgo gets $1B loan for DC chargers
Briefly

EVgo has secured conditional approval for a $1.05 billion loan from the US Department of Energy, aimed at building 7,500 DC fast chargers across key states.
This build-out of EVgo's chargers will focus on community stations rather than highway corridors, targeting areas with many multifamily developments.
EVgo plans to concentrate 40 percent of the new chargers in marginalized areas that have faced significant environmental impacts.
The aim is to complete this charging infrastructure build-out by 2030, with powerful 350 kW chargers as a priority.
