EU says Apple may be violating anti-geoblocking rules
Briefly

The European Commission has announced that a joint investigation found Apple may be violating anti-geoblocking regulations by discriminating against EU consumers based on their country of residence.
According to the Consumer Protection Cooperation (CPC), Apple's App Store and related services have limitations that result in "unjustified discrimination" against consumers across the EU.
The geo-blocking regulation prohibits discrimination when EU citizens seek to buy goods or services from vendors in different member states, a principle we uphold strongly.
EU commissioner Margrethe Vestager stated, "No company, big or small, should unjustly discriminate [against] customers based on their nationality, place of residence or place of establishment."
