A murder investigation is underway in Elmhurst following the discovery of a 45-year-old man with multiple stab wounds at 40-38 Case St. Police received a 911 call just before 6 p.m., leading them to the scene where the victim was found bleeding in a basement stairwell. He was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There are currently no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
