Martin Splitt emphasized that while ARIA can enhance accessibility, there's no reliance on ARIA for SEO advantages; instead, it should complement semantic HTML to convey accurate information while ensuring accessibility. He reiterated the importance of using semantics over ARIA where better alternatives exist.
