The case against Cian and Daragh Hayes is based on accusations of assaulting a man, Ciaran Ryan, causing him serious harm with hurleys during the attack.
According to prosecuting barrister Lily Buckley, the matter is considered a 'priority' within the list of trials scheduled for the current sessions at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.
During the court appearance, the two brothers did not address the court, and Judge Colin Daly remanded them on continuing bail until their trial on October 23.
The charges against both brothers include serious assault and producing a hurley, an offense under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act, indicating a degree of violence in the alleged attack.
