Brother of dead suspect in fires at Boston-area Jewish institutions pleads guilty
Briefly

Acting United States Attorney Joshua Levy stated, "Alexander Giannakakis chose to destroy evidence and conceal these hate crimes... he now stands convicted and awaiting sentencing."
The indictment revealed Giannakakis' younger brother, the prime suspect in the arson investigation, was hospitalized in a coma at the time he was named a suspect.
Giannakakis, having previously been convicted in Sweden for weapons possession, faced extradition and will now contend with serious charges that could lead to significant prison time.
The four arson incidents targeted Jewish institutions, beginning with a fire at the Chabad Center in Arlington, followed by similar attacks on other locations.
