Rose Wang, Bluesky's COO, explained that their team is in 'firefighting mode' due to unexpected user growth, surpassing 21 million users amid a migration from X.
Wang noted, 'We have grown by a million users every day for the last eight days... so we had to fast forward getting new servers' to accommodate the rapid influx.
The migration to Bluesky has been sparked by dissatisfaction with X and has been fueled by the recent US election, leading to over 280,000 account closures on Election Day.
