Officers discovered her parents in their SUV, with Thelma Tatten pronounced dead at the scene and Mark Cavallaro dying later at the hospital, both victims of gunshot wounds.
Investigators located the gun inside the car, linked to Cavallaro's boyfriend, who admitted there was no specific memory of securing it, raising questions on firearm safety.
