To comply with "Reese's Law," Apple has added warning labels to AirTags and their packaging to address the severe risk of battery ingestion by children.
AirTags imported after March 19, 2024, are required to display on-product and on-box warnings regarding the dangers of small batteries, as mandated by the CPSC.
Apple has updated the battery compartment of AirTags with a warning symbol, along with revising instructions in the Find My app to highlight battery ingestion hazards.
Launched in 2021, AirTags are set for a new version release this year, ensuring safety compliance in light of new regulations.
