A 78-year-old woman was tragically killed after being struck by an SUV in Weymouth, highlighting the dangers pedestrians face on the streets.
The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office confirmed that the driver remained at the scene of the accident, as Weymouth police conduct an ongoing investigation.
The accident occurred on Washington St., with the woman being taken to South Shore Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after.
