Eric Brunner, diagnosed with ALS, turned to his passion for art to cope, creating 'Flickering Souls: Illuminating ALS,' reflecting on his experience and supporting the community.
Before ALS, Eric would get lost in a project for hours and hours; that was such a huge part of Eric's identity. Losing that was devastating for him.
It seemed as if everyone in Brunner's ALS support group was using their voices to accelerate the search for a cure. He wanted to join them.
Using digital sculpting, eye tracking technology, and 3D printing, Brunner created over 250 portraits in three months to depict the experience of living with ALS.
