"It's all about the search," he said. Purchasing music online just doesn't compare to combing through the thousands of vintage LPs at Down Home Music.
"We should at least try to save them," said Blank. If they did, things just wouldn't be the same for them or for the communities their businesses serve.
"Down Home, Arhoolie, and Les Blank Films are as much cultural institutions as they are businesses, and they've grown up in that building."
