The article explores the author's evolving experience living in London. Initially, the author appreciates London’s beauty, cultural access, and efficient public transport. Over time, however, this admiration begins to fade as frustrations arise from crowded public spaces and what the author perceives as rude social behaviors. This shift in perspective highlights the challenges of urban living, as the annoyance of encountering oblivious pedestrians and slow-moving commuters overshadows past enjoyment, contributing to a more cynical view of the city.
Though I'm often able to avoid the busiest parts of Central London, that doesn't solve the problem taking place on the underground train platform.
As time passed and I became more familiar with my new hometown, I could no longer see the breathtaking H&Ms and Shake Shacks.
