When people get the skills and the tools that they need - specifically CBT and DBT skills - they can be protected against surges in anxiety even in the context of wild uncertainty.
Many of my colleagues reported the same. We weren't getting emergency phone calls from patients who were in treatment before March 2020. We didn't need to hospitalize a single one of those patients since they were not threatening suicide or decompensating.
