Everything really does seem better in the morning, scientists say
Briefly

Researchers from University College London (UCL) have discovered that mental health deteriorates throughout the day, reaching its lowest point by midnight. Analyzing data from 49,218 adults over two years, the study revealed that individuals reported feeling happier and more satisfied with life in the morning. Notably, mid-week days such as Tuesday and Wednesday exhibited the worst mental health levels. Moreover, seasonal factors also impact well-being, with summer months associated with improved mental health compared to winter. This highlights the complex interplay between time, mood, and daily activities.
This study shows that mental health often improves in the morning, but declines as the day progresses, highlighting the importance of daily routines on well-being.
The research indicates variations in mental health across the week, with mid-week showing the poorest mental well-being and summer bringing the highest satisfaction.
