South London rapper Dave has funded a new initiative through his mother’s charity, the Juliet O Foundation, to assist elderly patients discharged from St George's Hospital in Tooting. The program supplies essential items, including toiletries and non-slip socks, in packs tailored to individual needs. Celebrating her considerable dedication to health care, Dave’s mother, Juliet Omorgie, emphasizes the importance of these packs in easing the transition back home. Approximately 100 patients are expected to benefit monthly from this thoughtful initiative, strengthening community ties and enhancing patient care.
These discharge packs can make a real difference in the recovery process for elderly patients, providing comfort and care as they transition home.
Around 100 patients a month will benefit from the packs, which are tailored to individual patient's needs.
My mother would leave home at 5am every day for her job as a nurse and would not return until 10 or 11pm.
I've given her bragging rights. That's something my mum's definitely big on, like any African parent. Like any parent.
