The California state survey, with over 4000 LGBTQIA Californians 50 years of age and older from every region throughout California, is a game changer.
For far too long, the lack of robust data has been a major obstacle to reducing health disparities in our aging LGBTQIA+ communities.
The 2024 survey does have some limitations as an online survey. For example, the participants are limited to people who have access to technology.
The California survey is a baseline for future surveys that will usher in a new era in data collection.
