The more we've seen of Stephen King's lesser works, the more we've been made keenly aware of his recurrent themes and tropes, highlighted in Salem's Lot.
Salem's Lot is not quite the ungainly disaster suggested by its delayed schedule, but it also lacks distinctive elements that make it worthy of attention.
