"We are posting basically the same stuff there that we [have] posted on X and Threads. And that has worked for us thus far," said one head of social media.
According to data from analytics firm Chartbeat, Bluesky accounted for 0.017% of social traffic referrals, while X accounted for 2.564% of social referrals.
None of the seven publishing executives Digiday spoke with for this article is seeing more traffic coming from Bluesky than from X, highlighting the scale issues.
All of the execs interviewed said it's too early to have a proper strategy for Bluesky, as they are still in the test-and-learn phase.
