British investigative journalist banned from Cambodia
Briefly

Gerald Flynn, an environmental and investigative journalist, was banned from entering Cambodia upon his return from holiday, being placed on a blacklist shortly after appearing in a documentary criticized by the Cambodian government. This act has been condemned by press groups as another assault on independent media within Cambodia, where journalism faces increasing threats and censorship. Critics argue this reflects a wider pattern of repression against journalists, particularly those documenting environmental issues and government accountability. Human Rights Watch and the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand highlighted the risks and hostility faced by journalists in the region.
Flynn was denied entry to Cambodia on 5 January as he returned from a holiday, according to the publication, which said he was forced on to a plane and flown to Thailand.
The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand also condemned the development, saying in a statement it was another nail in the coffin of the free press in Cambodia.
