Tel Aviv-based startup Alta has raised $7 million in seed funding to develop an AI workforce for sales teams. Initially, the company experimented with human-like agents but found that transparency about being AI leads to better user engagement. Founders Stav Neumark-Levi, Tom Hoffen, and Mor Shabtai leveraged insights from over 100 companies to create specialized AI agents capable of automating various sales tasks, aiming to liberate sales teams from time-consuming administrative duties. Their AI integrates with existing CRM tools to enhance sales efficiency.
When people know they're speaking to AI, they expect it to be fast, accurate, and efficient. The moment it tries to act 'human' but gets something wrong, trust is lost.
Sales teams are stuck spending hours on admin - copy-pasting messages, searching for the right lead, digging through outdated CRMs. It's no surprise that 70% of their time isn't actually spent selling.
