Salesforce is enhancing its internal AI Career Agent to help employees adapt to new roles by identifying their transferable skills and offering personalized career paths. The Career Connect service, which has seen 28% of users apply for jobs, empowers employees to communicate with an AI tool through Slack. It not only suggests relevant roles based on skills derived from job histories but also recommends courses and contacts for career development, reflecting a comprehensive approach to workforce adaptation in the face of AI advancements.
"It said, 'this is your career path,' but you also have these skills that are very interchangeable to these other paths," Grant said in an interview with Business Insider.
"While many companies are chasing productivity gains, Salesforce is taking a broader approach to AI adoption by investing in internal AI career tools to help employees pivot to new roles and skill up."
